Hailing from Melbourne Australia, Hipworth has been working in the creative industries for the past 20 years producing work in graphic design, video and music production.
Who are your creative inspirations and why?
I’m inspired by outlaws. Artists that challenge the status quo and who are not scared to move outside of comfort zones to explore new ways of expression. From music, books and film to art and design some of the artists that have inspired me over the years would be people like Banksy, Tom Waites, Frederico Fellini, Hunter S Thomson, Jim Jarmusch, Vivian Westwood, Alexander McQueen and so many more.
If you could travel to any time in history to be an artist which era would you choose?
Anytime between 1300-1600 when the renaissance was in full swing. To walk amongst the greats of that time would be a buzz for me and the parties would of been nuts.
Is there a message in your work and how would you describe it?
Love each other and keep the bastards honest.
